Shelter Works fiberglass buildings are RF transparent and perfectly suited to service a variety of different applications in the telecommunications industry.

Applications Include:

  • Cellular
  • Data Center
  • Fiber-Optic PoP
  • Microwave
  • Broadcasting CATV
  • Coastal / Offshore
  • Alternative Energy / Solar

LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN

In many cases, telecom infrastructure needs to be deployed in hard-to-reach areas. Shelter Works telecom shelters are an ideal solution for applications that have weight restrictions, including roof-top installations, or where transportation costs can be cost prohibitive for heavier alternatives.

Shelter Works fiberglass telecom shelters are ultra-light weight yet offer superior flexural strength. Weighing 70% less than steel and 25% less than aluminum, our shelters with FiberBeam™ Technology are pound for pound stronger than steel.

RF TRANSPARENT

Shelter Works’ proprietary wall construction does not utilize metal framing therefore reducing radio frequency interference. Our prefabricated telecom buildings can be constructed to accommodate multiple frequencies to help maximize signal reach and reception. Insulating materials can be increased for higher R-values while not diminishing RF Transparency.

REMOTE LOCATIONS

Our telecom shelters are typically located in remote or environmentally challenging locations. They protect sensitive electronic equipment from the elements and other environmental threats.

Unlike other traditional building materials, fiberglass does not rust, corrode, or degrade over time, making it ideal for long-term use in challenging outdoor environments.

Telecom Shelters From Shelter Works

One of Shelter Works' greatest strengths is our ability to tailor our telecom shelters to meet the unique requirements of each project. Whether it's a remote cell tower installation, a data center expansion, or a satellite communication hub, Shelter Works collaborates closely with our clients to design shelters that precisely match their specifications.
