Fluorescent vs. LED Lighting

The two most common lighting options Shelter Works offers are fluorescent and LED. Both are energy efficient, economical and ideal  for lighting large indoor areas.

Fluorescent tubes are the most common type of industrial indoor lighting. They use 25% to 35% less energy and last 10 times longer than incandescent. They are a great way to save energy with minimal upfront cost.

LED is the most energy efficient because LED bulbs last longer and are more durable than fluorescent. They are ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. The initial cost for LED lights is higher than fluorescent but the overall lifetime cost is lower.
